History

Fir Oak Farm is located on San Juan Island in the town of Friday Harbor.
It was was built in 1890 and has only had three owners.
- Originally homesteaded by Peter Jewell in the 1870s
- Purchased by John P. Doyle in 1897
- The current owners, as of 1998, are the Sundstroms, a fith generation farming family.
Formerly a Dairy and Chicken farm, the farm is now home to a small heard of localy grown sheep.
Though primarily a sheep farm for whool, sheep skin, and USDA lamb meat,
The farm also produces a small amount of poultry, eggs. and honey.
